V is for Vendetta> At the movies with Larry B

What a wonderfully subversive film. Like Fahrenheit 911, I worry that it won't change any hearts and minds. At this point you either hate what Bush and the Republicans have done to our country and the world or you are a complete horse's ass that doesn't understand reason, ethics and the consequences born and yet to born of the past 6 years of misrule. We need to throw these bums out before we end up making V's world a reality.

V for Vendetta: according to a friend of mine, who hated this film almost as much as me

"V is a movie for youth who conceal their fragile idealism under a veil of faux-cynicism. It subscribes to the tumour theory of social revolt: cut out the tumour with surgical precision and the system will be just fine. Unfortunately, real revolt tends to be more like chemotherapy. It's idealism porn."

He's smart, I just think a movie where only 2 cops are assigned to the case of an international terrorist and work out the ENTIRE plot in lenghty exposition in a cheap-ass one room set is a rip-off. Also I HATE alliteration.
and I would rather inject feaces into my eyeballs than see another grating Natalie Portman performance. GOD why do they keep casting whiny-skinny-american-no-talent actresses as british women?
